NOTE: Some sources state that she arrived at Davis-Monthan AFB from 606th Special Operations Squadron, 1st Special Operations Wing, Eglin AFB, FL 23 OCt 1969.[6]
However, there is no further information in the records at Davis-Monthan to support this. A MASDC expret recently reached out to me regarding this plane and confirmed that 64-17674 being listed at Davis-Monthan is probably another MASDC record error as there are no unallocated PCN's around the 23OCT69 input date reported by MASDC.[7] This means that Davis-Monthan never formally assigned an inventory number to the plane, which supports the earlier supposition that the plane was destroyed in the accident and the entry on the website is wrong.
