NOTE: This plane appears to have a discrepancy. The official inventory records for the USAF (Reel AVH-4) shows the plane as having been dropped from the Inventory due to an accident on 18 Aug 1965. However, Davis-Monthan has a partial record of receiving this plane from the [[609th Special Operations Squadron]], [[56th Special Operations Wing]], Nakhon Phanom AB, Thailand, but there are no dates listed. This would suggest that it was not destroyed in the Accident from Aug 1965, but merely damaged. The 609th wasnt formed until 15 Sep 1967, so if the plane was truly destroyed in 1965 it wouldn't have been listed as being part of this unit. But, the plane is reported with a Termination code in 1965 and does not appear on the Inventory rolls after that point. Based on this, I believe the Davis-Monthan Records are in error | NOTE: This plane appears to have a discrepancy. Operational History
27 Nov 1964 - Accepted into USAF Inventory from OnMark Engineering Company at Van Nuys, CA. [1]
28 Nov 1964 - Assigned to 605th Air Commando Squadron at Howard AFB. [1]
18 Aug 1965 - Dropped from USAF Inventory due to accident. [2]
NOTE: This plane appears to have a discrepancy. The official inventory records for the USAF (Reel AVH-4) shows the plane as having been dropped from the Inventory due to an accident on 18 Aug 1965. However, Davis-Monthan has a partial record of receiving this plane from the 609th Special Operations Squadron, 56th Special Operations Wing, Nakhon Phanom AB, Thailand, but there are no dates listed. This would suggest that it was not destroyed in the Accident from Aug 1965, but merely damaged. The 609th wasnt formed until 15 Sep 1967, so if the plane was truly destroyed in 1965 it wouldn't have been listed as being part of this unit. But, on the AVH reels the plane is reported with a Termination code in 1965 and does not appear on the Inventory rolls after that point. Based on this, I believe the Davis-Monthan Records are in error.
