Operational History
1 Nov 1964 - Accepted into USAF Inventory from OnMark at Van Nuys, CA. [1]
2 Nov 1964 - Assigned to 605th Air Commando Squadron at Howard AFB. [1]
NOTE: The Date of Accepted into Service is an estimate based on the implied data of the record. All other B-26K models are received at OnMark the day before they are assigned to a unit. This plane does not show a line item for being at OnMark (OMEVC), but on the single line entry for assignment to the 605th it does show that the unit gained the plane from OnMark. I suspect that it is a clerical error that resulted in this omission.
6 May 1966 - Designation changed from B-26K to A-26A while with the 605th Air Commando Squadron at Howard AFB. [2]
29 Jun 1967 - Assigned to Sacramento Air Material Area (SMAAR) at McLellan AFB. [3]
5 Dec 1967 - Assigned to 605th Air Commando Squadron at Howard AFB. [3]
31 Mar 1968 - 24th Air Commando Wing at Howard AFB. [4]
18 Apr 1968 - Assigned to 603rd Air Commando Squadron, 1st Air Commando Wing at England AFB. [4]
7 Jul 1968 - 1st Air Commando Wing renamed to 1st Special Operations Wing at England AFB. [4]
4 Mar 1969 - Assigned to combat support with 1st Special Operations Wing at England AFB. [5]
1 Jul 1969 - 603rd Special Operations Squadron moved to Hurlburt Field. [5]
23 Oct 1969 - Arrived at Davis-Monthan AFB from 606th Special Operations Squadron, 1st Special Operations Wing, Eglin AFB, FL. [6][5]
27 Oct 1969 - Security Assistance Program Hold Storage at Davis-Monthan AFB. [5]
14 Nov 1969 - Returned to Service with 6200th Air Base Wing, Clark AFB.[6][4]
16 Nov 1969 - Arrived back at Davis-Monthan. [6] (I'm not sure why they activated the plane for 2 days and then retired it at again).
15 Dec 1972 - Declared surplus and authorized for reclamation. [6]
7 Mar 1980 - Sent to Allied Aircraft, Inc of Tucson, AZ.[6]
