This page lists all of the specific Invader models that were produced by Douglas Aircraft.

Some notes on differentiating the types of Invaders:

The A-26B refers to the solid nose "attack" version of the plane, which was fitted with forward firing guns in the nose. The A-26C refers to the glass nose "bomber" version of the plane, which was equipped with more advanced bomb sights. These terms (attack and bomber) are only loosely applied in this sense. Both versions of the A-26 were fully capable at attack and bombing roles.

The middle numbers (-1-, -5-, -10-, etc) refer to the production block of the plane. As the plane was manufactured slight differences were introduced into the design. These production blocks indicate what specific differences a particular plane would have. For example, the A-26B-1 model was equipped with a single 75mm nose cannon, whereas the A-26B-5 models were equipped with 6 forward facing .50 caliber machine guns in the nose.

The last two letters; DE, DL, or DT refer to the plant of manufacture. Only the first three XA versions were built at the Douglas El Segundo, CA (DE) plant. All of the other Invaders produced were built at either the Douglas Tulsa, OK (DT) or Douglas Long Beach, CA (DL) plants.
