After the first five Invaders, model A-26B-1, Fifteen A-26B-5s followed with minor changes and which eliminated the camouflage that had been previously applied to bombers. These versions were produced in metallic silver finish. These versions had one 75-mm cannon in the nose and two 0.50-inch machine guns on the left side.

This category shows all of the A-26B-5 model planes that were produced at Douglas Long Beach (DL).
There were 15 planes in this production block consisting of serial numbers: 41-39105 through 41-39119.

According to the Douglas Production List, the A-26B-5 was built: "as A-26B-1-DL, except deletion of mechanical emergency flap controls and provisions for automatic pilot; revised wiring for wing racks using 5-prong plug; gun heaters for wing and nose guns changed from CFE to GFE; deletion of camouflage; dust excluders provided; 125gal tank in bomb bay for use fragmentation racks; GFE Type A-1 bomb release receptacle; provisions for low impedance head sets; other minor changes"
