Images

41-39120 from the National Archives (NARA). This plane was assigned to the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics for research. Notice a the long antenna affixed to the left wing. Also, this plane has prop spinners, which production model planes did not have. The only planes that featured a prop spinner where the X-model prototypes, and other planes assigned to experimental testing, like this one. Also of note, this Invader has a 4-blade propeller - production model Invaders had 3 blades.
