Operational History

3 Aug 1945 - Accepted into inventory from USAF.
NOTE: The record indicates that the plane was accepted 3 Aug 1945, but the first entry isn't until October. Based on the history of 77139, I believe this plane was immediately delivered to the [Litchfield Park Storage Facility]] where it sat from Aug to October.
Oct 1945 - Assigned to Experimental Utility Squadron 25 ([XVJ-25). This squadron eventually became VX-2.
Mar 1946 - XVJ-25 became re-designated Air Development Squadron 2 (VX-2).
Apr 1946 - Sent to Overhaul & Repair Facility Norfolk.
22 Jul 1946 - "exists between activities" (ie: Awaiting assignment), at Norfolk.
Aug 1946 - Assigned to VJ-7.
