The 605th Air Commando Squadron operated out of Howard AFB in the Panama Canal Zone. During 1965 they received 7 B-26Ks into their squadron.

The following planes were assigned to the 605th ACS:
64-17655
64-17657
Plus 5 additional planes of unknown numbers.

It is said that the seven planes that went to the 605th were the last 7 built. If this is true, it means that the B-26K planes were not built in sequential order.
