Invaders by Model

The following pages display a list of specific Invaders by model. There is some potential confusion here because the B model is the hard-nosed variant and the C model is the glass-nosed variant, however, the noses could (and often were) swapped out, especially in Korea. To keep things consistent our lists are based on the Invaders by model as they were originally constructed. If it was built with a glass nose, you will find it under the C model section, etc. It is also worth noting that although the Invader had several different nose weapon configurations for hard-nosed planes, they are all classified together as B models.

A-26A

The A-26A could refer to either, the XA-26A, the original Invader Night Fighter prototype, which was not produced beyond the initial prototype, or the B-26K Counter-Invader, which was used during the 1960s. For the B-26K, which was temporarily renamed A-26A for political reasons, see: Serial Numbers starting with 64
