They say that "no man is an island". That is certainly true for the historical work that we are doing at the IHF. We could never have accomplished this much without the help of many people, well respected researchers, historians, archivists, and/or enthusiasts. In no particular order, the IHF wishes to express a very heartfelt thank you to the following people:

The United States Air Force Historical Research Agency (USAFHRA). In particular, Archie DiFonte and Tammy Horton, who have patiently answered my many questions and humored my numerous requests for documents.

The United States Naval Aviation Museum Library. In particular, Pam Thomas, Bob Thomas, Bonnie Towne, and Bill Addison, who have also patiently answered my many questions and humored my records requests.

  • Dr. Joseph Baugher, Military Aviation Historian - who's work on serial number databases provided many early results for my own database and was part of the inspiration for this kind of site.
  • Dave Cantin, Commemorative Air Force - Who has donated financially and provided expertise numerous times over the years. Notably, without his help the detailed photos of the Tulsa Oklahoma plant would not have been possible to acquire.
  • Craig Fuller, Aviation Archelogy - who has provided much useful information on Invader accidents.
  • Richard Fulweiler, OnMark Expert - who has donated more than 1,000 images and documents to the IHF along with his great expertise.
  • Brian Gibbons, 391st Bombardment Group Association - who has provided invaluable data and information on the 391st Bomb Group pilots and planes.
  • Don Henderson, 13th Bombardment Squadron Historical Association - who has donated more than 4,000 images and documents to the IHF.
  • Rick Prucha, 416th Bombardment Group Association - Who has donated nearly 1,000 accident reports and several dozen photos to the IHF, along with his considerable knowledge.
  • Wayne Sayles, 416th Bombardment Group Association - Who has assisted in providing access to 416th Bomb group records.
  • Scott Thompson - Author, "The Douglas A-26/B-26 Invader", who has shared his expertise numerous times.
  • Jim Roeder - Author, "A-26 Invader Units of WWII", who has shared his expertise and friendship freely.
  • John Voss, Military Aviation Historian - his work on fuselage codes used by USAAF training bases has been invaluable, and he has donated several photographs to the IHF over the years.
  • The US Navy Aviation Museum Library - their volunteers have provided valuable documents on the US Navy's JD-1s.
  • The US Air Force Historical Research Agency - their employees, Archie DiFante & Tammy Horton in particular, have provided endless assistance with the records requests and military files.
