According to the American Battle Monuments Commission, 1st Lt. Dingwell was issued the following citations.

Based on these awards, I presume they may have been awarded for service in WWI as the Invader he was on disappeared one week after Pearl Harbor. Copies of the citation awards are needed to confirm this.
