At first glance this might appear to be a vintage WWII photo, but it is actually from [[41-39401]]'s civilian years. The plane is registered as N3457G and owned by John R. Moore of Los Angeles, who wanted to use in it a movie. Frank L. Pine was hired as the pilot, pictured here circa 1968. The movie was never completed, but had it been, it would have been Pine's first credit as a movie pilot. That didn't happen until the 1970 film Catch-22 where he flew a B-25. Note the placement of the crew names. This was not how A-26 Crew names were applied to the plane - they were all listed together in a single placard under the pilots window, another indication that this paint scheme is fictional.
