			22 Aug 67 - Maj John Creighton Gillespie Kerr, (pilot) and Capt Burke H. Morgan, (navigator) were reported missing in action while on a single aircraft operational mission.

			Radar and radio contact was lost with the members in their A-26 aircraft and the members were declared missing in action at the time of estimated fuel exhaustion. Last radio contact with them was routine and there was no indication of trouble.

Born in Marylebone District, London, England. Address in Wellington, Kent, England 1950 age 17, a student, with previous permanent address of Scotland (where father was born). Royal Aero Aviator Certificate, Cheltenham Aero Club, England (18 Se 51). Certificate received for flying a version of the Auster aircraft. Father in the RAF. Became an American citizen in May 1954 while serving with Hq Squadron, 806 Air base Group (Division), Lake Charles AFB, Louisiana. He had been serving since 1 December 1953. He entered the States at Miami, Florida in January 1953. Rank and AFSC at that period, not known, but he did have an enlisted service number. The unit was a SAC unit.

Through various contacts with the Laotian government, a joint U.S.-Laotian recovery team was able to retrieve the remains of Maj. Burke in February 2005. He was laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery.

He is listed on the Vietnam Wall, Panel 25E, Line 30.
