I believe this to be the nose art of one of the planes that my grandfather, Freddie Carroll (gunner), flew in while assigned to the 13th Bomb Squadron. He told me that the plane that he and pilot Emil Pindzola and navigator Roy L. Compton usually flew was called the Assam Dragon. It's the only Assam Dragon image I've been able to find for an Invader. It's possible that there could be a second Invader by that name, but I find that unlikely.
Unfortunately, this image does not provide further identification, such as tail letter, squadron colors, or serial number that would assist further.
