Mark Howland

M.A.Howland is a rising fantasy author who lives in Warwickshire, UK, home to the great Shakespeare. He tests software from home as a living, although he confesses he would rather test how long it takes for paint to dry, discolour, then peel away.

Originally studying at university for a Business Degree, Mark left prematurely at a tender age to join the military to seek his adventure. After six years of frustrating his commanding officers with his philosophical outlook, it was mutually agreed he should leave and pursue something of a more self-governing nature, other than blindly following orders. So he got married, and now lives happily with his wife and four little inspirations, still taking orders…

A lover of the great outdoors, he is also studying for his Bardship with OBOD (Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids), due to a lifelong fascination in Druidry and ancient folklore, which by his own admission, provides plenty of inspiration for his writing.

Although Fingle’s Trial is his debut novel, he intends it to be his first of many.
