731st Bombardment Squadron

This unit was formed 10 Aug 1950 when the 452nd Bombardment Wing was called to Active Duty. It flew with the rest of the Wing to Japan. However, almost immediately upon arriving this squadron was detached from the 452nd and reassigned to the 3rd Bomb Wing to bolster their smaller size. This move gave each Wing 3 squadrons. Shortly after being reassigned, the squadron was reformed as the 90th Bombardment Squadron.
